Did you know that thousands of songs used the same common chord progressions?
Many guitar players aren’t aware of this fact. This can make learning and playing lots of songs seem like a difficult and overwhelming task!
When you can recognise common chord progressions, you can spot the similarities in the songs you play, and understand why the chords are in the order that they are.
This makes learning and remembering the songs you play so much easier. It also gives you some of what you need to make up songs of your own.
In this video lesson I’ll walk you through some of the most common chord progressions we see in music and demonstrate them on guitar.
We’ll look at using Roman numerals, I-IV-V progressions, the I-VI-II-V progression, and more of the common chord progressions we see all the time.
This video is the perfect compliment for my No Bull Music Theory for Guitarists book.
